Prior to founding Capstone Insights, Paul was the founder and CEO of DemandWave, a B2B Digital Marketing Agency that specialized in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaign management and Social Media Marketing (SMM). DemandWave was a two-time Inc. 500 winner and was #9 on the San Francisco Business Times 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies. In August of 2017, DemandWave was acquired by Wpromote.
Before DemandWave Paul was Vice President and General Manager at AT&T Wireless Services. He was responsible for building cellular networks, staffing and marketing new regional operations as well as turning around and bringing struggling operations into profitability and high growth. Paul drove some of the most profitable and highest growth regional markets with innovative marketing, sales and customer care strategies.
Paul earned an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He and his wife Amy have 3 kids and live in Northern California.
Jay is a recognized thought leader in B2B marketing who focuses on helping companies gain maximum value from their investments in marketing technology. He’s given hundreds of presentations and written dozens of articles on demand generation, lead management, demand modeling, and technology strategy.
Prior to starting Capstone Insights and growing his lumberjack beard, Jay was vice president of Client-Focused Technology at SiriusDecisions. In this role, Jay led SiriusDecisions’ marketing and sales technology coverage and research agenda; chaired the SiriusDecisions Technology Exchange (TechX); oversaw the development of SiriusDecisions web-based and Excel-based research tools; and was responsible for all web properties (website, client-portal, online marketplace of technology vendors). Prior to this role, as a member of SiriusDecisions’ Marketing Operations and Demand Creation Strategies analyst teams, Jay provided guidance on demand creation best practices.
Before joining SiriusDecisions, Jay was lead strategist at The Pedowitz Group. Jay also served as senior consultant for CRM at Brightcove and senior manager of e-marketing and marketing operations at FAST, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft. In these roles, Jay implemented marketing automation at dozens of B2B organizations, consolidated CRM and database applications into unified CRM systems, defined corporate master data management strategies, and project managed the redesign and build of corporate websites.
Jay earned an MBA in marketing from the University of Notre Dame, an MA in marketing from Bentley University, an MA in project management from George Washington University, a BA in management from Bentley University, a graduate certificate in human-computer interaction from Tufts University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute.
